Join Sam Coffman as he shares insights about herbal first aid kits based on over two decades of experience. He will cover basic formulas and simples (single herbs) that can be applied at home or in post-disaster environments. Sam will share insights on containers, first aid gear, packs, and best methods of herbal preservation and administration.
In addition, Sam will discuss typical concepts in first aid kits (for trauma and every day issues at home, in the car and in remote situations). What are the most essential components to any trauma first aid kit, based on space and weight limitations, and how does that play into the herbal part of the first aid kit?
A handout with both trauma, everyday and herbal ingredients will be provided. Additionally, Sam will have many demonstration items and kits for students to compare.

About The Instructor
Sam Coffman, RH(AHG), began his medical education in the military as a U.S. Special Forces Medic in 1989. At that same time, he became interested in herbalism as a way to provide health care in remote regions with limited medical supplies.
After thousands of clinical hours as both a medic on teams and in military emergency rooms as well as two decades as a clinical herbalist, Sam’s goal has become the creation of an integrative medical model that overlaps clinical herbalism with orthodox medicine. His survival school (The Human Path) and herbalism school (Herbal Medics University) combine to create a hands-on learning experience that pushes the boundaries of herbal medicine in austere and post-disaster environments.
