Texas summers are known for blackberry bushes that overflow with ripe berries, Mustang grapes that thrive in the southern heat and juicy hill country peaches that burst with flavor.
Join us for this hands-on 3 hour workshop to learn several different methods of canning lush Texas fruit while it is in its prime!
This will be a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-dive-in class to give practical lessons on how to preserve local fruits from our South/Central Texas area. Depending on what we are able to pick/harvest, we may work with grapes, watermelon, hill country peaches or local berries. I will teach preservation methods ranging from hot-bath canning to making a fruit paste (cheese) or fruit vinegar.
